A little more about me, my education, and training.

I have a BA in Psychology from Dalhousie University, and a Master's degree in counselling psychology from Athabasca University; with a specialization in working with youth and families. I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, #4925. In addition to my private practice work, I spent the last 8 years working for the Recovery Alberta (formerly Alberta Health Services) child and adolescent mental health program, providing outpatient clinical counselling for moderate to severe mental health concerns. Prior to becoming a registered psychologist I worked in residential and community outreach programs serving children, adolescents, and families.

Before choosing to focus on psychology my first degree was in visual arts. I still have a passion for all forms of art., and I always enjoy the opportunity to bring any form of art into therapy.

Over the last five years I have participated in regular consultation and training with experts in the field of individual and family therapy, using the Deliberate Practice (DP) model of therapist development.
